HBO GO and MAX GO app versioning immediately followed the site launches. Both apps were retrofit for multiple devices, with launch deadlines that left no room for error. I started with sitewide copy audits and then sat with the Information Architect to work out the content and conventions screen by screen. Like the HBO GO and MAX GO site ux, this is another success story—mobile content and standards have remained unchanged through multiple app evolutions. In 2013, the the HBO GO app won a Webby Award for Best Practices.
